Studio C, formerly known as Loeks Theaters, Inc., was founded by John "Jack" Loeks.  Jack opened the single screen Midtown Theatre in downtown Grand Rapids, in 1944.  That bit of showman lived on in Jack's son, John Loeks, Jr. who branded Celebration Cinema and is the current owner and CEO. In 2007, John passed on the Presidency of his company and Loeks Theatres, Inc. to his own son, J.D. Loeks.
