We are hiring a Channel Development Consultant to work with the rest of the Sales Channel Development team to to develop our dealer channel with a focus on supporting the growth of their sales with Steelcase, as well as other strategic Channel initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be an important addition to the North America Channel team working with dealers and other stakeholders across the US and Canada. You will be responsible for helping our dealers further develop their strategic capabilities and grow sales of our dealer channel with Steelcase products and services.

Your Future Team:

You are an important part of the North America Channel Development team. Our team exists to build and grow profitable, sustainable channels in the U.S. and Canada that deliver a competitive advantage for Steelcase and serve our customers well. In this high visibility team, we work with a diverse group of stakeholders including internal audiences such as our product categories, learning and development, and sales, as well as external audiences which include our dealers.

Who You Are:

You have the ability to develop relationships with internal groups and dealership leaders and staff and you have strong facilitation skills to deliver content and challenge status quo thinking. You have solid written and verbal skills for work in various team settings and communication of complex ideas to internal and external audiences.

You have a passion for data-driven decision making and effective data visualization. You will leverage your investigative and analytical skills to uncover actionable insights that will help make important decisions. For this, you possess a strong initiative to design and execute powerful analytics using data visualization and analysis tools, (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft BI, Python or R) and have an understanding of underlying financial/business principals with minimal supervision and review of results and conclusions. You are able to navigate through complex situations with a variety of stakeholders. You may possess knowledge of channel business processes (programs, products, and technologies) and best practices, as well as knowledge of Steelcase dealership business practices processes and best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of professional experience. Roles in sales, channel, product development, learning and development, or other channel facing fields are preferred.

• A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

• Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism

• The ability to think critically and tackle problems

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft BI) and a strong desire for continuous learning

• Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, R) and/or a strong desire to learn how to leverage these to produce powerful analytics.
