This position is responsible for the development of shrink planning, identification, analytics and program development and deployment. Oversight of investigations associated with external and vendor theft and fraud, organized retail crime, internal theft, corporate fraud and digital fraud. This position will report to the VP of Asset Protection and Safety. . What You’ll be Doing: Creates an environment to maximize sales and profit while protecting company assets. Oversees asset protection strategies and objectives related to mitigating shrink and loss, both for malicious and non malicious losses. Protects the company’s assets by leveraging data analytics and insights to improve profit results. Directs the shrink analytics program and ensures processes are balanced for both predictive as well as recuperative efforts Develop and lead all asset protection and security strategies across the retail organization and support continuous improvement of processes to drive efficiency and expense reduction. Ensures regulatory compliance as related to criminal code and regulation in all business practices including investigative efforts Reduce liability and exposure for the retail organization by implementing industry best practices in alignment with RILA, NRF, FMI, LPRC, ECR and other trade organizations Provide oversight and expertise for internal and external investigations relating to fraud, theft (internal and external), organized crime, drug diversion and embezzlement resulting in financial loss to the company Establish KPIs that provide appropriate indication of leading indicators of program effectiveness and operational adoption of programming Leads financial and capital planning efforts associated with annual financial planning process focused on shrink targets in partnership with key stakeholders and in alignment with fuel for growth initiatives Partners closely with legal, government affairs, human resources, merchandising and store operations leadership teams to ensure asset protection strategies align with business objectives of the broader organization This job profile is not meant to be all inclusive of the responsibilities of this position; may perform other duties as assigned or required What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor’s Degree or higher 5-8 years of progressively more responsible asset protection experience, preferably in a retail environment 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, with direct and indirect reports 4 or more years of experience in retail corporate management (preferred) Professional certifications such as LPC, CFI, CPP Demonstrated ability to partner with business customers Ability to develop relationships with various internal and external customers Understanding of security technology solutions Understanding of investigative processes Excellent organizational, analytical, written and communicative skills Demonstrated ability to negotiate and lead/influence client base We opened our doors more than 85 years ago with the goal of helping people provide for themselves and their family.
