About this Opportunity
As an IT Analyst - Emerging Technology, you'll be responsible for assisting in the development and communication of improvements to IT technologies and processes. You will provide support by solving IT problems and executing solutions.

  • Work with the Liaison and Procurement Teams to help evaluate and certify new technology standards as they are identified for the organization.
  • Monitor trends in enterprise client technology, with a focus on the technologies likely to become mainstream within five years or less.
  • Lead efforts to adapt current standards and practices to new technologies, including the maintenance of standard Operating System images and integration with deployment processes.
  • Pilot and test new technologies and gather feedback from users about their experiences.
  • Provide support to IT Field Technicians during the introduction of new technology.
  • Assist with client-side budget creation.
  • Assist in vendor relations.
  • Apply learned IT skills to your work assignments.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and execute solutions to problems independently.
  • Coach and teach basic IT tasks to others.
  • Complete IT tasks within oversight of leadership.
  • Follow IT processes.
  • Present your work output in a clear and concise manner.
  • Seek and receive mentoring from senior level and IT leadership.
  • Seek the approval of leadership before output implementation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IS), or another relevant academic discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of professional IT and IS experience.
  • Forward thinking and the ability to objectively identify emerging trends.
  • Familiarity with business requirements for reliability and functionality to sufficiently gauge whether new technologies are appropriate for Herman Miller.
  • An advanced knowledge of hardware and software technologies, including personal computer components, operating systems, utilities, deployment tools, and other major applications.
  • The ability to act as third level technical assistance for CTA.
  • Knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners.
  • A proficient understanding of how technology solves identified business problems.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
