About this Opportunity
As a Human Resources Project Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing project support to Human Resources (HR). You will develop, oversee, and administer HR processes and programs and identify best practices for the good of Herman Miller, Inc.

Adapt and create procedures, processes, and techniques to accomplish the more complex requirements of the position.
Handle multiple project and administrative tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment with often changing priorities.
Maintain confidential information, files, databases, and appropriate records.
Manage your assigned segment of programs and projects across the entire lifecycle, through concept to delivery.
Send out routine written and verbal communications to internal customers as needed in support of department objectives and activities.
Professionally handle communications, including resolving routine and complex inquiries, redirecting messages, or directing callers to another party as needed. You'll also take initiative to resolve issues as they arise.
Provide administrative support to Human Resources leaders and project teams, as well as schedule meetings.
Provide project support such as data compilation, verification, and documentation.
Serve as a resource to others within the department/team on applicable programs.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
An Associate's degree in an applicable discipline.
Experience with Human Resources technology and program administration (preferred).
A demonstrated ability to effectively use the tools currently being used in the Herman Miller office environment.
A demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities.
Proven organizational skills, a detail orientation, and the ability to follow-through with a customer service focus.
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a team orientation.
Proficient written/verbal communication skills and presentation experience.
A demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness.
The ability to use given data to problem-solve.
Proficient time management, multitasking, process management, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
