DeWys Manufacturing seeks Automation Operator – Weekend Shift (1).
Monitors automation equipment to ensure they are meeting or exceeding set goals for production and quality standards. This will entail the following processes Grinding, Spot weld, Press Brake, CNC mill, Paint, General Machine, Material Handling, ect. Reduce manual labor cost by converting processes over to automation or improving processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned)
Will work in conjunction with the team leads to ensure the machines are achieving established goals. Will work in conjunction with jigs and fixture / Innovation department to ensure the fixtures needed for the jobs are adequate to meet production needs, quality requirements and repeat-ability standards. Will work injunction with estimating to ensure we can achieve cost effective quotes to meet processes. Will work with estimating / Scheduling to identify potential / future work to keep automation equipment busy.
Create and maintain consistent clear set up instructions. Conduct off line programming for the equipment Will need to have a flexible schedule to achieve the green light time measurements Program management. Create programs needed for the process using a standard method and any logic needed for the set up Calibration of equipment. Weekly or daily if needed calibration completed to maintain accuracy of the equipment to help maintain the accuracy of the programs Condition of equipment. Monitor and maintain working condition of equipment to ensure that it is in proper use. Ensure the condition of our machines are maintained. Work injunction with maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in the correct condition
Will need to have clear and effective communication skills to help promote and deal with situations, morale and team building. Will need to completed or have completed some communication training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 5 or more years experience in manufacturing, preferably metal fabrication; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership training. Will need minimal of 3 years’ experience in the specific area.
