About this Opportunity
As an Engineering Technician 2 - Operations Quality, you'll provide engineering support and documentation for the creation, modification, and maintenance of nonstandard products.

Perform in a team environment to ensure all work is completed 100 percent on-time.
Support corporate and learning product quality audits and lead initiatives to correct the root cause of audit findings.
Lead investigations into root cause and take corrective actions addressing customer quality defects (CQS).
Collect, analyze, and communicate quality data to better identify trends and patterns that can be used for continuous improvement.
Be competent and aware of corporate quality standards to determine whether product meets standard.
Review, audit, and update process documentation.
Conduct periodic process audits to determine if processes are robust and being adhered to as intended.
Support daily quality production needs.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
Two to four years of experience in an engineering environment or as Engineering Technician 1.
The ability to function in PC-based computer systems and familiarity with standard programs such as Excel and Word.
The ability to read and understand routings.
The ability to understand Bills of Material (BOM) codes such as inventory codes, P/C codes, units of measure, etc.
A high degree of Herman Miller product knowledge.
The ability to make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
The ability to work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Applications, CAD, and Order Administration.
The ability to be detail-oriented to ensure the accuracy of information.
The ability to apply basic engineering procedures and practices.
The ability to work to deadlines and completions.
The ability to manage your own workload and be self-motivated.
Team player skills.
Mechanical aptitude to deal with developing solutions to customer requests.
The ability to work under direct supervision.
The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
