Clark Retirement, a BHI community, is hiring a Floor Care Specialist for our Environmental Service team. The floor care specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the facility's floors and common areas. The job involves operating floor care equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors, to clean and maintain carpets, hardwood, tile, and other floor surfaces. Other environmental services tasks may be assigned as needed. The compensation for this role will start at $17 per hour with opportunities for advancement.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure the community is maintained in a sanitary, orderly and presentable condition
  • Safe operation of floor care equipment
  • Maintains equipment to established standards; report any issues or malfunctions of floor care equipment
  • Keep work area clean and orderly and ready for next shift
  • Notify care staff of any concerns regarding residents
  • Available to perform other duties within department as needed
  • Assist Supervisor with keeping the facilities in an “inspections ready” condition
