Description This position will support Meijer’s diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives related to team members, consumers and community. Partner with the business and leverage skills and experience to foster growth, development and achievement using metrics and other indicators of success regarding diversity and inclusion.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Drive, direct, and implement strategic objectives in multiple formats including programs, self-service tools, in-person development activities, training facilitation, presentations and specific consultation based on business need.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within Human Resources and the business and act as an influencer to drive, direct and implement diversity and inclusion strategies, programs and tactics.
  • Use analytics and data to track and communicate results as well as identify solutions that align to Meijer’s diversity and inclusion strategy as well as its overall mission and core values.
  • Effectively promote the Meijer diversity and inclusion strategy to all levels of the organization, locations, customers and the community.
  • Leverage media platforms to create and deliver impactful presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, guidelines and trends in diversity and inclusion.
  • Active and authentic community engagement consistent with Meijer’s diversity and inclusion strategy as well as its overall mission and values.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in a related area

Experience:

  • 2 years of HR- or diversity and inclusion-related experience
  • Prior experience in a Retail, Distribution and/or Manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience implementing comprehensive organization-wide change management tactic or strategy with validated results.
  • Experience influencing without authority and partnering with others to accomplish tactics or strategies
  • Experience using data-driven decision making
