The Assistant Risk Manager supports the bank’s enterprise-wide risk management efforts by executing operational, compliance, legal, and investigative functions. This role ensures adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements across key risk domains including credit administration, documentation retention, legal processing, physical security, and compliance operations. The position works closely with the Chief Risk Officer and the Compliance Officer, as well as other departments to maintain a secure, compliant, and well-controlled banking environment.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Performs a variety of duties to support Risk Management activities including assisting with the administration of the internal audit function, managing documentation retention, providing legal and compliance support, monitoring credit administration, security facility management, vendor management onboarding and management, user access management, and investigations support. The individual will assist the Chief Risk Officer in fulfilling their responsibilities related to Board and Regulatory reporting, as well as provide for monitoring related to compliance and risk management activities.
This position requires:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information;
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance processes;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in banking operations, risk management, or security preferred;
- Utilizing hands & arms;
- Ability to talk & hear.
