This schedule requires being available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, work 2 weekends each month, flexibility to work all three shifts if needed (days, afternoons, midnights), and ability to work overtime and holidays as needed (sometimes on short notice). ** The Asset Protection Officer will work in all areas on the Meijer Corporate Campus, including both office and distribution environments. They will be responsible for life safety, reduction of civil liability, protection of assets, regulatory compliance inspections, and providing excellent customer service. This position has experience with OSHA, EPA, FDA regulations, and enforcement of regulatory/environmental compliance. Accountable for 200% Safety – Self and Others. What You'll be Doing: Support security efforts through access control, investigations and theft deterrence. Conducts hazardous emergency evacuation drills including tornado and fire drills. Thoroughly document Asset Protection activity within the case management system. Respond to emergency situations and make appropriate decisions. Conducts internal/external theft investigations. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree preferred. Experience in Loss Prevention, Security or Military background is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility to work all shifts. Provide excellent customer service with excellent follow through. Ability to lead and teach classes related to safety, orientation, evacuation and powered equipment operation. Strong investigative skills/techniques. Working knowledge or CCTV, access control and alarm devices. Excellent computer skills - proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. . .
