Description Designs conceptual models to approach complex business problems whose impact often results in significant degree of change to the organization
  • Accountable for designing and maintaining an Aetna Mental Wellbeing engagement strategy
  • Nominate and deploy population-specific teams
  • Assess the gaps and nuanced needs of Aetna’s domestic and international markets
  • Create a literacy plan to support each market in communicating and educating on mental wellbeing capabilities to support local member, plan sponsor and community needs
  • Develop new product recommendations or service enhancements to meet needs of all constituents
  • Engage internal stakeholders and create accountability to meet population-specific needs

Accountable for contracting, initiative planning, business results and ongoing client relationship management and satisfaction for large scale, high value initiatives impacting the delivery of products and services to the internal and external environment:
  • Design and oversee implementation of specific industry/market/segment/plan sponsor initiatives leveraging multi-functional team
  • Cultivate industry/market/segment/plan sponsor relationships by offering customized solutions that meet their needs
  • Add value to the relationships that markets/segments have with their customers by giving them the tools to address mental wellbeing proactively
  • Work directly with plan sponsors to manage customized communications needs from strategy to deployment

Responsible for providing oversight and supervision to external vendors, external consultants, consulting team members and/or matrixed staff as required in support of initiatives:
  • Build strong partnerships within the Growth organization to influence the account management and sales teams to meet sales and retention goals
  • Guide vendor and product management teams in service opportunities and gaps to meet specific and global needs of customers/markets/segments
  • Lead cross functional tiger teams to design an approach strategy, assess gaps, develop solutions and customize deliverables to meet needs of markets
  • Partner with senior leadership team to ensure collaborative communication and transparency in market/segment strategic updates

Fundamental Components
Accountable for transferring knowledge, best practices (external and internal), methodology and tools to client organizations:
  • Champion Aetna Mental Wellbeing strategic themes within the context of customized messaging and programs for markets/segments
  • Present mental wellbeing capabilities and strategy to internal and external audiences
  • Create and maintain the highest level communications customized to the needs of the markets and segments
  • Develop and maintain a consistent and regular cadence of proactive messaging and communications with markets/segments
  • Maintain regular feedback loop to ensure ongoing, changing needs continue to be met

May be responsible for concurrent initiatives as team lead and/or team member, based on resource requirements

Background Experience
Background/Experience Required:
10+ years experience with several of the following methodologies: management consulting, project consulting, financial strategic analysis, strategic business planning, product development process
Excellent communication skills
Strong technical skills: Power point
Strong leadership experience
Previous experience with product strategy & innovation
