Seeking a sales oriented, enthusiastic individual for this commission based position. Mortgage Banker originates, processes and closes all types of mortgage loans. Attracts borrowers, evaluates applications and financial data, reviews loan documents and closes loans. Ensures that we are providing exceptional customer service to our customers. Creates loan opportunities to increase loan portfolio and builds banking relationships through promotion of value added services. Interviews loan applicants, collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan request consistent with bank policy. Gains familiarity with full line of bank products for the purpose of developing and maintaining relationship banking ties with borrowers. Complies with government lending laws/regulations and bank loan policies and procedures. Participates in community organizations and activities, cultivates business relationships and promotes the image and services/products of the Bank. Protects the Bank’s assets through adherence to overall Bank policies.
Requirements: 2-4 years Retail Banking experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Must have strong knowledge of mortgage loan products and necessary loan skills. Good knowledge of other bank products and services to make referrals to other areas of the bank. Strong sales and customer service skills. Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills. Must register and maintain the unique identifier number as required by the SAFE Act.
