The Triage Specialist serves as an initial point of contact for shelter guests, working closely with our Intake team to make sure all guests recieve the proper assistance when entering the shelter. Responsibilities include completion of the Triage questionnaire, assessing and identifying barriers that brought the guest into the shelter, encouraging guests to consider shelter services tracks, and/or connecting them with resources in our community. Triage Specialists are expected to be friendly, relational, and provide guests with support, guidance, and encouragement.
