Responsible for developing/facilitating manufacturing development projects and initiatives from the point of ideation through launch by engaging subject matter experts, and leading cross-functional teams to support the timely commercialization of Meijer’s self-manufactured products. Collaborates with the Business Development Manager to execute current co-manufacturing


What You'll be Doing:

  • Provides project management for all Meijer Manufacturing's new business and product development projects and programs to drive manufacturing growth in support of overall company-wide performance metrics.
  • Sets up and manages specific project or program timelines. Reviews project plans for consistency and standards adherence. Manages cross-functional dependencies.
  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional weekly project status update meetings. Adjusts project plans and resolves issues as necessary.
  • Responsible for developing internal and external customer relationships and managing customer satisfaction.
  • Executes packaging transitions in coordination with own brand and manufacturing plants to minimize throwaways/ cost impacts.
  • Researches market trends and industry standards to assist in the development of new business, and new Product Development. Provides direction/input to product development leads and integrates activities with other cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and support of current projects.
  • Collaborates with the Business Development Manager in the execution of the co-manufacturing strategy to support manufacturing growth.
  • Conducts analysis for assigned function and provides recommendations based upon results and the application of knowledge and judgment.
  • Delivers reports regularly on select development metrics and other key performance indicators.
  • Assists in / may lead development and deployment of metrics to analyze plant performance compared to co-packer and merchant expectations.
  • Participates in implementation of corporate product flow strategies, methods and guidelines.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Focus on Meijer CTC skills, with strong passion to compete and customer first.
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain preferred.
  • Proven ability to learn on-the-job and acquire new technical skills.
  • Demonstrated strong abilities in relationship management.
  • Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals.
  • Analytical skills / ability to apply analytical methods and use specific tools by function. Ability to determine multiple sources for data mining.
  • Strong intellectual strength, comfortable with dealing with complexity and ambiguity. Requires creative thinking with ability to solve problems / develop practical solutions.
  • Self-starter with leadership qualities and goals
  • Comfort working in teams or individually; able to build positive rapport with colleagues, business partners and vendors.
  • Planning and process management skills required with the ability resolve problems and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent informing skills with the ability to provide information that enables the decision-making process
