Description

Advance Packaging Corporation is seeking a Part Time person to Set up assigned machine such as HP Printer and Zune cutting table, in a manner that will produce print to specifications within tolerances set in the Advance Packaging

Corporation Quality System policies, procedures, work instructions and specifications. Produce the minimum volumes needed

for each customer order. Perform all necessary quality checks to ensure consistent print quality. Maintain prescribed levels of

basic ink color inventory. Store ink containers properly, using 5S and LEAN manufacturing as guidelines for organization.

Operate the HP Printer and Zune cutting table in a manner that will minimize wear and prevent damage. Act as primary contact

to HP for machine problems and resolution. Maintain accurate documentation at the same time. May operate hilo to load sheets to printing for production use and remove finished product. Produce samples for customer approval and mailing of same. Produce quality product that meets customer orders from digital down loads to machine.

LICENSES, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE normally required to perform this job:

High School diploma or equivalent
Count accurately to 1000
Add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers and fractions
Read a tape measure accurately to 1/16"
Read, understand and follow written instructions

Ability to obtain a hilo license. Possess a valid Michigan drivers license free of restrictions.

Ability to use a computer to access and retrieve data using Microsoft office Ability to generate and /or compose product identification tags, problem descriptions, quality reports, special instructions, etc.
Ability to read and understand all materials which any federal, state or local governmental body requires be given to or made accessible to employees in writing.

Prior industry production experience is preferred with experience or training in color theory and flexographic or digital color process

It is normally expected that an individual newly assigned to this position can become fully qualified and proficient within 6-12 months of on-the-job experience.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, whole numbers and fractions and convert fractions to decimals. Must be able to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16" Read, understand and follow written instructions in English and to write such things as product identification tags, problem descriptions, quality reports, special instructions, etc.
