As a Network/Cloud Engineer, you'll assist in the development and communication of improvements to IT technologies and processes. You will provide support by solving IT problems and executing solutions.

  • Install and configure network switches.
  • Troubleshoot network switch configuration issues and client issues.
  • Implement network switch changes, such as VLAN changes and security enhancements.
  • Install and configure wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot wireless issues and wireless client connectivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and trace paths to discover link issues.
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure and networking on AWS.
  • Automate cloud and on-premise infrastructure processes.
  • Apply learned IT skills to your work assignments.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and execute solutions to problems independently.
  • Coach basic IT tasks to others.
  • Complete IT tasks within oversight of leadership.
  • Follow IT processes.
  • Present work output in a clear and concise manner.
  • Seek and receive mentoring from senior level and IT leadership.
  • Seek the approval of leadership before output implementation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IS), or another relevant academic discipline (preferred).
  • Three to five years of professional IT and IS experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in infrastructure/network environments, including basic network design, implementation, administration, and support.
  • Experience working in a regulated network environment, including change management processes, documentation requirements, and standardized procedures.
  • Experience automating routine tasks to address more complex systems and infrastructure.
  • Considerable knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, Network cabling, Layer 2 and layer 3 switching, the OSI Model, MPLS and Metro-Ethernet, VPN and SSL technology, Firewall security, and Network management, diagramming, and troubleshooting.
  • A high working knowledge of switches, enterprise VPN solutions, firewalls, and wireless.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cisco Certification Network Administrator (CCNA, CCNP preferred).
  • AWS Certified Architect or Developer Associate (desirable).
  • Knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners.
  • A proficient understanding of how technology solves identified business problems.
  • An advanced knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners.
