We are looking for a Mix Tech to join our team in our Personal Care facility.

The Personal Care Manufacturing Plant produces a variety of personal care products both unique to the Amway business, as well as our contract manufacturers’ products. This high-volume plant provides the opportunity to learn, develop, and grow in multiple skillsets across different roles, as well as training opportunities. With high profile contract projects coming in, the plant continues to grow as our business continues to invest in that growth. This role will provide a leadership role with the opportunity to influence manufacturing teams, deepen your leadership skills, and be a part of the key decision-making processes. This role will operate on a 3rdshift schedule working Sunday night - Friday morning, 11:00pm - 7:00am. This position may require scheduling flexibility to train on 1st shift (7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday) up to two months depending on capability. How you would contribute to the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for mixing batches of our product, following appropriate documentation, and recording raw material usage. This includes weighing and measuring ingredients for prescribed batches and combining into mix vessels while performing actions such as heating, cooling, verification, along with other mix operations. Your keen attention to detail is required, as you will record raw material usage and maintain related records, logs, and paperwork. You will also be responsible for transferring finished compounds to holding vessels. After a batch is mixed, you will return remaining raw materials to storage areas, and clean and sanitize all mixing and storage vessels, as well as related equipment. You will be responsible to ensure that all job duties are conducted in a safe manner and that all chemicals and products are handled and stored in accordance with company and government regulations. You also will have additional opportunities to handle other specialized tasks.
- High school diploma
- Must be capable of lifting 0 – 50 lbs.
- Previous experience working in a mix environment, 1 – 2 years preferred
Skills to be successful in the role:
- Ability to follow formulas, charts, and tables together with the use of measuring interpretation with mechanical and troubleshooting skills preferred
- Ability to trust and follow through on commitments with team members utilizing strong communication skills
- Prior FDA or GMP experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail/safety with a high level of accuracy, organizational, and time management skills
