Steelcase is hiring a Treasury Analyst to support our global treasury needs. This role will integrate with the broader finance team as well as cross functionally outside of finance, working with functions such as legal, procurement, HR and other areas of the organization as needed.
Who you are:
You are a detail-oriented finance professional with a strong knowledge of foundational accounting and understand the accounting implications of treasury transactions. You are curious about our business, and our treasury specialty including staying abreast of financial market conditions and trends within treasury. You understand the gravity of treasury in a publicly traded company and value strong compliance and control frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 3+ years in a corporate finance role, with treasury experience a plus
- Proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement analysis, and cash control environment
- Reporting experience - both in gathering and displaying data visually, and in written summarization of the salient points
- Excellent planning and organizational skills to achieve objectives and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Skills and Experience:
- CTP, CPA, MBA or similar professional designation
- Knowledge of treasury in a multinational company
- Experience with treasury systems and various e-banking platforms
What you will be doing:
- Supporting daily cash management activities in the Americas and EMEA including:
- the liquidity position of various locations and assisting in the critical task of ensuring adequate funding to these businesses
- owning appropriate transactions to support this activity
- reporting daily
- forecasting future flows
- Independently apply advanced cash management skills, while exercising sound judgement in decisions
- Liquidity management also includes periodic activities to fund our subsidiaries via intercompany loan management and recapitalizations, and repatriation via subsidiary dividends post detailed financial analysis of the subsidiaries’ business, often working closely with local finance teams and our global tax team
- Maintain the bank account/case management infrastructure
- Foreign exchange – complete complex analysis of exposures on a global basis and propose risk mitigation strategies including hedging, as well as complete transactional FX trading and FX reporting as part of our financial close activities
- Various period end financial tasks that require detail orientation and recognition of the gravity of accurate financial reporting
