Bachelors in Nursing (Preferred)
General Summary: A registered nurse with responsibility for the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement activities within assigned programs and initiatives.  Requirements: Current Michigan R.N. license.Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience.Minimum of two years QI/UM and/or case management experience preferred.Skill and proficiency in applying quality principles and concepts.Training in LEAN methodology preferred; will provide training as necessary Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Maintains current knowledge of quality management principles including data collection and measurement, analysis, improving reliability, engaging stakeholders, and project management, and PDSA.Demonstrates understanding of current healthcare quality standards in area of assigned responsibility including Collaborative Quality Initiatives, Value-Based Purchasing, CMS standards (core measures), and public reporting.Collects data, entering into appropriate database, while meeting required deadlines.Analyzes data, identifying relevant trends and opportunities for improvement.Develops and facilitates process improvement activities in collaboration with stakeholders.Participates in, and reports aggregate summaries of process improvement activities to committees and work groups relating to ares of responsibility as required.Acts as a consultants and facilitator for process improvement activities for hospital staff and physicians.In collaboration with others, promotes a non-punitive culture of service excellence, continuous quality improvement and patient safety.Supports and work collaboratively with other QI Coordinators and members of the Quality Team.Obtains required continuing education credits to maintain current licensure in the State of Michigan. #RN
