The role of the Disability Management Assistant I is to communicate with claimants and employers the status of the claim; to support the internal Disability Specialist staff; to ensure claim documents are sent to claimants and employers in a timely manner along with uploading them into a custom software system within compliance standards; and to follow the initial claims process procedure for claims received. Key abilities include: Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented/problem solving skill set with the ability to handle high volume calls and maintain professional courtesy at all times. If you enjoy order and are the person who adds items to your check list to cross them off, this is the position for you.
One (1) year general office experience preferred. One (1) year disability management and/or FMLA administration experience preferred. Human Resources experience including FMLA administration is preferred.
