HEALTH BENEFITS • Responsible for providing outstanding CUSTOMER SERVICE. • Explains and interprets company insurance program to eligible associates and their dependents. • Verify information and processes enrollment forms submitted by associates. Forwards enrollment applications/information to insurance carrier via U.S. mail/email/facsimile or keys to benefit system software. • Monitors associate’s questions and assures timely answers. • Implements resolution to problematic benefits issues, through discussion with Human Resources Manager. • Maintains neat, accurate insurance files for each associate on the plan(s). • Maintains accurate on-line system for health and dental plans. • Maintains proper associate census/billing on all insurance plans by timely and accurate enrollment, record keeping, separations, class changes (i.e., promotions, demotions, pay increases), facilitates additions, cancellations and changes in eligibility to dependent records. • Provides booklets, cards, directories, plan descriptions to all new associates eligible for plan. • Administers HIPAA-as relative to eligible associates and their eligible dependents-issues Initial Notification Documents upon enrollment, determines eligibility for and compliance with “Special Enrollment” requests. Complies with all federal HIPAA Privacy guidelines. • Has up-to-date knowledge of COBRA federal mandates regarding access to group health plans for former associates and their eligible dependents. Facilitates timely accurate filing and documentation. Interprets and explains COBRA coverage/cost to those who become eligible. Initiates re-enrollment of “COBRA Continuees,” receives and posts payments of premiums. • Assists in analyzing and interpreting and correction of processed claims and large case management. • Assists in development and coordination of company wellness program. • Meets quarterly with broker and health plans to discuss issues. 401(K) & PROFIT SHARING • Explains and interprets company 401(k) and profit sharing plan to associates. • Monitors associate’s questions on 401(k) and assures timely answers and follow up. • Maintains proper associate record keeping by reviewing , enrollments, loans, separation and applicable paperwork. • Maintains accurate on-line system for 401K plan. • Prepares applicable monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports. • Provides enrollment packets, summary plan descriptions, fund information and other necessary materials to plan participants and newly eligible associates. • Perform as a liaison between our fund administrator, plan administrator and company trustees.

Requirements:

|
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITY: • Attention to Detail - Total task accomplishment through concern for all areas involved. • Work Standards - To set high goals and standards of performance for self, subordinates and organization. • Good Organizational Skills - Ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities. • Quality and Accuracy - Ability to produce accurate, high quality work. • Confidentiality - The ability to work with and hold in strict confidence all sensitive information. • Computer Skills - Ability to operate personal computer and standard business software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate is frequently is required to walk. The associate is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
