Using Our RSS Feed

What is an RSS Job Feed?

RSS is an acronym for “Really Simple Syndication”. RSS delivers information (in our case jobs) in a simple web language called XML.

We have created several “feeds” that you can subscribe to using an RSS reader. RSS readers are widely available for download at websites like Download.com or Tucows.com. Also, the new browsers like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) and Mozilla’s FireFox 2.0 support RSS and will make it very easy for you to subscribe to a list of jobs that may interest you. Both browsers will be available in November of 2006. The Safari browser for Apple Computers already has an RSS feed component.

How do I use the CareerMatrix.com RSS Feed?

Download the RSS reader of you choice, then link the reader to the appropriate feed(s) listed on this page: http://www.careermatrix.com/rssfeeds.asp. With the IE7 and Mozilla browsers the RSS feeds will be instantly available on the home page by indicating with a special icon.

The feeds will provide you a simple list of jobs available in each category and link directly to the job. Be sure to set your reader to periodically update your RSS feed so you can access the most recent job additions.
