Posting Your Resume

Hands Resume Getting your resume in front of employers is critically important. On there are two ways that can be accomplished. First is sending your resume to the employer via email, snail mail or fax and the second is posting your resume online. member employers can and do search the resume database. In fact, some employers only search the resume database and can contact you directly. This is why it’s so important to get your resume online.

  • When you submit a resume you can activate "Job Alert". This will automatically notify you of new job postings in occupational categories you select.

  • Often companies will not accept resumes as attachments, because of the threat of viruses, you might not even know if they didn't get it, however, they will accept a resume!
How Do I Post a Resume on

There are three ways to Post a Resume on

  1. The Resume Builder - Allows you to create a commonly formatted resume. Just fill out the form and when you’re done, you have a resume online.

  2. The Resume Cut and Paste - If you already have a resume created using your word processor, you can save time by selecting the text of your resume, copy it to your clipboard and paste it into the large box.

  3. Upload your Resume – If you have a resume you created with a word processor in the doc, rtf or txt formats you can upload it and retain the structure of your resume for the employers. The disadvantage is that your resume is not searchable in this format. You can attach your uploaded resume to either the builder or cut and paste resumes, having the best of both worlds.
