ridgeon & Clay, Inc. founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald V. Clay, began in a small converted garage in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Don Clay became the sole owner of Pridgeon & Clay when John Pridgeon retired in 1976. In 1992 he sold the business to his sons Donald C. Clay and Robert E. Clay, the current owners. The company now occupies over 450,000 Sq. Ft. of manufacturing and office space in two locations.
In January 1998 Pridgeon & Clay opened a 40,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution Center in Franklin, Indiana. This plant is located on ten acres of available land for future growth just 20 miles south of Indianapolis.

Today, Pridgeon & Clay is one of the largest independent, value added manufacturing and suppliers of stamped and fine blanked components for the automotive industry. A full time work force of over 735 employees contributes to Pridgeon & Clay's full-service approach to design, prototyping, validation and manufacturing excellence.

t is our belief that people make the difference. Within our dedicated Training Center, we educate, test, and certify our staff members, supporting our corporate philosophy of employee empowerment and on-going training.

Equipping our employees with the right 'tools', through on-going training for all employees, and continuous monitoring and evaluation, ensures high standards of performance and quality. We have a Certified Operator Program that requires successful completion of modules before an operator is qualified to operate in our high skilled positions. In addition, our employees must demonstrate their knowledge through testing, prior to receiving their 'certification' award.

Everyone from our maintenance staff and production workers to our administrative support staff and design engineers shares our corporate commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and unparalleled service. We all take pride in our work, and that pride shows through in the high quality of our final products.
