We are currently seeking a stand-out candidate to join our team in our downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan office (parking provided).

This position has great opportunities for growth with flexible, and possible remote hours. Some afternoons and early evenings are required.

This is an ideal position for candidates looking for HR or medical experience who have a strong attention to detail and can juggle multiple tasks.

The role of the Disability Management Assistant I is to:
  • Communicate with claimants and employers the status of the claim;
  • To support the internal Disability Specialist staff;
  • To ensure claim documents are sent to claimants and employers in a timely manner along with uploading them into a custom software system within compliance standards;
  • To follow the initial claims process procedure for claims received.
  • Key Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Detail oriented/problem solving skill set with the ability to handle high volume calls and maintain professional courtesy at all times.

  • One (1) year general office experience preferred.
  • One (1) year disability management and/or FMLA administration experience preferred.
  • Human Resources experience including FMLA administration is preferred.
