Social Media Internship- Unpaid

Mel Trotter Ministries is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join the Communications team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and short-form video creation.

Responsibilities:

• Create and curate content for our social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
• Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement and followers
• Create and edit videos/reels for social media
• Analyze and report on social media metrics to track the success of campaigns
• Stay up-to-date and research industry trends and changes in social media algorithms
• Attend events with the purpose of capturing photo and video content

Requirements/Essential Skills:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with social media management and short-form video content creation
• Familiar with Canva and similar programs is a plus
• Basic knowledge of video production and editing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for social media and digital marketing
